For those who might have missed it, in my reflections post yesterday I outlined that we would be changing the way we read on Saturdays: 'The categories for the other six days of the week are rather broad so for them I can easily find books that I own and are free on the internet.  But restricting one day to evangelism has made life a little difficult.  So I'm going to change 'Seed Sower Saturday' to 'Serious Study Saturday'.            On Saturdays we will read a slightly larger chunk (30-40 pages) from a work that is not as popular as the other titles we usually read, but is nevertheless an important contribution to the Christian church.'

Therefore when we finish Bunyan's Holy War towards the end of October 2010, we will begin reading the seven volumes of John Calvin's 'Tracts and Letters'.  These were re-published by Banner of Truth last year and are available from Amazon.        Or you can get them free on the internet, Volume 1 is here for example.

This might prove to be me biting off more than we can chew - it probably will take us around 2 years to complete the volumes even at the faster rate of 30-40 pages.

Or, it could turn out to be a major delight.  Time will tell...
