Ante-Nicene Fathers (Volume 4) - XXX - Origen against Celsus Book V commenced

Required reading
Ante-Nicene Fathers (Vol 4) (Available from Amazon or free here) - Commence Book V of Origen against Celsus by reading up to Chapter XXXIII.

My summary
Today we start the fifth book from Origen that answers accusations from Celsus against Christianity.

In this reading, Origen refutes Celsus' critiques of the Bible's teaching on:
(i) Jesus' divinity;
(ii) angels;
(iii) heaven;
(iv) Jewish customs;
(v) the bodily resurrection;
(vi) the origin of all nations.

What grabbed me
I appreciated Origen's teaching on our resurrection: 'We, therefore, do not maintain that the body which has undergone corruption resumes its original nature, any more than the grain of wheat which has decayed returns to its former condition.  But we do maintain, that as above the grain of wheat there arises a stalk, so a certain power is implanted in the body, which is not destroyed, and from which the body is raised up in incorruption.'

We look forward to a new body, an incorruptible body!
