My summary
Today Trumbull teaches us about Sunday Schools.

Firstly he tells us the importance of Sunday School in studying God's word for all ages, not just children.

Next Trumbell tells us how mighty Sunday Schools are as an evangelistic agency.

Then the rest of the chapter is concerned with demonstrating how certain Sunday School curriculum has fallen prey to higher criticism and now teaches serious error.

What grabbed me
I liked hearing about the secret of Sunday Schools: 'Prayer meetings of the teachers for the conversion and consecration of the pupils is a secret of the continuously evangelistic Sunday School.'

So true.  But prayer meetings are the secret weapon for much more than Sunday Schools.
