My summary
Today we finish the book with a chapter of mini biographies compiled by Henry. 

The biographies are of godly men and women known to Henry and who were a great encouragement to him.

What grabbed me
A bit of an odd finish to the book. 

But it makes some sense in light of Henry's love for biographies: 'For biography Mr. Henry had a strong partiality; and he advised others to a like preference. "Read," said he, "good books; especially serious, useful history, as that of the 'Lives of Holy Men.'"  And the use he made of his father's papers in the compilation of the beautiful memoir which has been so often mentioned, shews abundant skill also in that department of composition.'

Biographies of those who have gone before us can be such an encouragement and delight.

Next week's reading
Commence 'Reformation in Scotland' by John Knox, edited by C J Guthrie (Available from Amazon or free here) by reading the Preface and commencing Chapter 1 up to the paragraph beginning with 'No sooner got the Bishops opportunity, which allwise they sought, but so soon renewed they the battle against Jesus Christ.'
