Last week we began Owen's answer to the rather lengthy sixth argument - basically a list of Scripture proofs that More believed proved universal atonement. At that point we read the first seven scriptural proofs.
This week we read the final ten proofs and Owen's rebuttals.
What grabbed me
So I was pleased to see Owen admit feeling this way himself at certain points. For example: 'For those other places out of Jude 4, 12, 13, I cannot perceive how they can be hooked into the business in hand.'
Lists of Scriptural proofs should be examined carefully as they are often not proofs at all.
Next week's reading
Read Chapter 7 of Book 4.
