Ante-Nicene Fathers (Volume 2) (Available from Amazon or free here) - Read the 'Fragments of Clements Alexandrius'.
Today's reading is a collection of small amounts of material written by Clement and then quoted in the writings of others.
A lot of it is commentary on the Scriptures, including:
(i) 1 Peter;
(ii) Jude;
(iii) 1 John;
(iv) 2 John;
(v) Job;
(vi) Luke;
(vii) 1 Corinthians;
(viii) 2 Corinthians;
(ix) Galatians;
(x) Matthew.
Bit of a difficult reading due to its hotchpotch nature.
But I thought this was a good statement about Christ: 'There was; then, a Word importing an unbeginning eternity; as also the Word itself, that is, the Son of God, who being, by equality of substance, one with the Father, is eternal and uncreate.'
Jesus Christ is most definitely eternal.
Read the Clemens Alexandrinus on the 'Salvation of the rich man'.
